Cathy,
You have several postings saying how pleased you are and that's great! However it is a bit misleading because you had yours done in MICHIGAN. I strongly WARN anyone even slightly curious not to have it done in SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA. Please inform everyone of your location so that they don't think for a minute that all LSL offices are the same. I am happy for your results but I was horribly scarred and wish to God I had found this blog before I was butchered in San Diego by LSL!

Who was your doctor in Santa Ana as I have scheduled an appointment.

I have seen patients with great results for over the last year. I had mine done Monday April 7, 2008 and I feel great. Procedure was painless, today the wrap came off and what a wonderful suprise not to see that hanging, sagging turkey neck. I had my procedure done in Las Vegas. Have had little pain since the surgery and I am very pleased with the outcome. You can contact me at anytime and I can tell you who I saw and where. All clinics I believe are different, I have not seen any bad comments on this site regarding my Dr. Contact me at {edited} I will be happy to answer any questions.

Hi,

I had my LL performed in Virginia, also on April 7th 2008. I'm hoping you can help me to feel better about having the procedure. I had my lower face, neck, and lower eyelids done. I'm still as swollen and bruised as I was immediately after the surgery, perhaps even more so. The pain has lessened some though but I'm taking a lot of pain medication. I still have the sutures in, but there are an awful lot of them and they look really bad. I didn't do enough research beforehand and am now pretty scared after reading many of the comments on this website. I'm really worried that I'll look worse than I did before. I recently moved to a new apartment and all of my new friends are 8 t 10 years younger than I am, so I wanted to fit in with them better. I am a widow and foolishly didn't tell my children about this before I had it done, but have since told them. They were very understanding, but I am now thinking maybe I made a big mistake. Do you know how long I can expect to have such bruising and swelling? I can handle the pain. I appreciate whatever help you can give me.

Helaine

I live in washington D.C. area, so if I want to do the LL it will be the same place in VA. I am curious though, how are you right now. It is my understanding that you had a lot of pain, bruising and swelling. Is it better? I hope so. I would like to hear from you before I have it done. Is the doctor good? Is the follow up procedure good? I really appreciated your comment.

Please tell us how you are now, a month and a half down the road. Thanks.

I live here in vegas and am interested in having the lifestyle lift. Can u tell me the name of the doctor who did yours. Also, are things still looking good for u. I have read so many disparaging things about the lsl that I am poised to do this. Do u believe a 2 week leave of absence from my job would be enough time to totally recover. I wish I knew people who had this done 2 or 3 years ago and are still very satisfied. If u know of any, can u tell me. Thanks for any info you can give me surrounding your procedure. glad to know someone is happy with the lsl. best of luck

I am contemplating having this procedure done in Atlanta, Ga., I would appreciate hearing from anyone having this done, please let me know of the experience. Also, do they do pre-screening with the individuals Dr. before going on with the procedure?

Thanks
Alice Eriksson

I am still waiting to hear from someone who has undergone the lsl (at least 1 or 2 years ago), Until I can receive some answers, I must assume that this surgery is not lasting. I am becoming very skeptical that other people are NOT commenting about this particular surgery that they may have had a couple of years ago, whether good or bad. Seems that all these comments were made recently. How about some comments from those who had the lifestyle lift back in 05 or 06. Are you still lookin good?

Just a comment to those who are waiting for a response by those who had this procedure a while ago.
They may not respond because they're getting on with their lives & are satisfied. I don't think they would have a need to visit this site unless it's for advice or information. That's why I'm here.

Had the surgery performed on the day before Thanksgiving 06. It has been only 1 1/2 years and I look as I did before the surgery however now I have very thick scars behind my ears. As do several other woman that I have personally talked with. The scars are from the surgery being performed hastly and in a hurry, not because I or these other woman scar easily. this I have had confirmed by several other plastic surgeons who are not associated with LSL. The doctor {edited}, who performed my surgery was in the Little Falls, NJ office. Since then LSL has moved him to a Florida Clinic. The surgery is a cookie cutter surgery preformed as the LSL founder says it should be, it is not customized for the individual. If you do your research you will find ALOT of dissatisfied woman. The surgeons get a minimal fee for their services, compared to what a Genuine Facial Plastic Surgeron recieves for his services. LSL knows about my complaint with the surgery and knows that I am very unhappy and displeased and all they had to say was that I knew I might not be happy with the outcome.

Editor note: If you would like to review your experience with a particular provider or clinic, please write your treatment review and enter the provider or clinic name in the field provided.

I am interested in having this proceedure done in San Mateo, California. Please let me know if you had this done and what was the outcome and also what dr. did the proceedure

I, too, am interested in having this LSL perfomed here in Vegas. I don't know if anyone had it done here in Vegas and whether or not they were satisfied. Can someone please respond to the Vegas LSL office as to whether this lift was done and was it successful. Also, if there anyone out there that had this done about 2 or 3 years ago. I am very interested from hearing from those people and if they still look very good. Please anyone, please respond as I don't know what to do. Your input is greatly appreciated. Many thanks

I have been scheduled to see {edited} at Lifestyle Lifts in Santa Ana. Did he by any chance do your procedure? I am putting it off for a while until I see and hear more about him.

Editor note: To make or request doctor recommendations, please visit our Doctor Recommendation Forums.

I have not done it as yet but looking at all the feedback from patients on this website.

Hi Alice,
I had my LSL at the Galleria building 700, Dr. {edited - you can post your doctor on by adding a review} on Thursday morning. It's almost 48 hrs since. The evening of the first day was the most uncomfortable due to the local wearing off, like a dull toothache feeling, but the pain meds helped that. When you are first wrapped the wrap is so tight you feel clostrophobic. In the middle of the night I had to loosen it some and felt better. Day two you go back for a recheck and I felt good, too good I guess b/c I did laundry, tidied up the house etc. but this am day 3 I am feeling I did too much yesterday. I'm more swollen than y'day, but not really pain. They tell you not to do anything but I'm not one to lie around. I will today though.

The consultation was a joke. When I went I was sold by the creditentials of the Dr. and the before/after pictures. I arrived and was the only person in the waiting room and the gentleman answering the phones had the tv up so loud it seemed weird. Then one of the docs came by his desk to check the schedule and the guy told him that he had just given his two week notice b/c of some catfighting between staff and him weren't getting along. The doc told him he was sorry to hear that and wished him well. You could tell the doc was uncomfortable about him telling him that in front of me.
Then the "consultant" came in, put me in a room to watch the video "commercial". On cue she came back in with her laptop to go over the video verbatim. Now this consultant was Asian and I couldn't understand a single word she said, but it didn't matter because I'd seen the video. She scheduled the appointment. I was suppose to come back another time to consult with the doc, then come back to do it. Luckily I was able to schedule the consult/procedure same day.

I had the lower face, chin lipo tightening. When they say it takes an hour or a little longer, no..expect 3.5 hours. They are not up front at all about how long it takes and how much head dressing you will have to have. They also tell you to take the dressings off 24 hours later and only wear at night afterwards...no, you leave them on 3 days then you take a shower, then you re-wrap with new dressings for the next 4 days

If you are expecting the lunch hour technique, this is not for you. But if you have the time to spend healing, maybe. I don't know yet since I am on day 3 and dying to take off the wrap and do a shower. Also have all the things you need before the procedure at home. Including soft foods b/c you cannot open your month more than 1/2 to 1 inch wide, even today I can't eat a real bite on a fork. Good luck
Susan

I wish you a very speedy recovery. Please let us know how you are feeling in couple of weeks and how your face looks
Thank you

Four weeks post my procedure and I've been out and about since day 5. I feel fine too. One thing I expected was a call post surgery to see how I was doing. I get that from my dentist..just a suggestion LSL.

Dr. F discovered my high blood pressure (thanks) followed up on that at 2 wks post got meds for hbp and blood drawn b/c I hadn't in about 2 yrs. Came back good except my liver enzymes were elevated. Go back for that in 2 wks. Just thinking though could have been from the meds during/post LSL that caused that, so you may not want to schedule any kind of blood work afterwards to avoid that kind of complication.

The only after affect I'm having is some thickness/numbness on my face beside my ears but I have to remember what all was done to cause that and be patient. It is improving each day though. Under my chin the same thing and it is improving. My ears are super sensitive to touch, but they were cut in front of and behind so they just must be coming back to life. I have itching under the skin but can't feel the scratching LOL, a little bizarre. I think healing is individual. If you have a good tolerance for pain and procedures you'll do better than the needy person. I probably used 4 or 5 of the pain pills, just b/c I had them and have a hard time elevated on my back sleeping. Then switched to plain old tylenol.

I get a lot of looks but no one says anything to me about it. I pulled out the before pics the other day my husband just laughed he said the changed was so much improved with the frown/droopy sides and under my chin.

I figure in a few months I should be healed and forgotten all about it. To me that is why these other people aren't responding 2/3 years later. If I remember where this sight is I will follow up. Until then...good luck everyone

I had the Lifestyle Lift done in Reston with {edited} last week (8 days ago) and I'm doing fine. (just the neck lift) It was really scary at the time ...being awake for the operation, though I couldn't feel anything. At first it really hurt so I took the pain pills and pretty much slept all the time in a recliner for 2 days. (I'm very well rested now!) My neck looks great and the creepy looking stitches have been removed (behind the ears haven't all disolved yet) but I can tell that the ones that really concerned me, in front of the ears, will be looking pretty good in another couple of weeks.(I have long hair so I can cover them right now and have gone back to work) I am being very careful to follow ALL the instructions! Right now I'm massaging the scars several (4-5x)times a day with Vitamin E oil and it has already made quite a difference. (I also wear the head wrap at night and iwhen hanging around at home and I think I will continue to do that for as long as possible, maybe on and off forever as I love how my neck looks now and want to keep it that way as long as possible!)
I don't reccommend the procedure as a "lunch time" deal. It's basically a regular neck lift with out the anesthesia. (Which always make me sick) and I would DEFINETELY research the doctor doing the operation! ...but I do really like my neck now for the first time ever! But it is a big deal so do your research! (mine was $4500.)

Editor note: To make or request doctor recommendations, please visit our Doctor Recommendation Forums.

I am so glad you look and feel better. I had mine done in April. Don't forget you will still have numbness around the ears for up to three months. Congradulations on making a great choice.

Glad to have seen this info, especially on San Mateo office. Was also surprised by the pay full amount before procedure.Told its "company policy." Have been scheduled for 8/26, but now 80% sure I will cancel. Last visit (to meet the dr.) involved waiting for 2 1/2 hours, in packed office, to meet dr. for maybe l0 minutes. Standing room only, it was like a "cattle call". Obviously, all their advertising, and the "good outcome" photos are working, even if procedures don't.

I had my lift done Monday the 8th in dallas. The whole experence was great. I had the neck firming and the eye firming done too. I get my eye stitches out this monday and the rest of my stiches thursday. I feel fine but still have some brusing and swelling. I was able to go to work by friday with no pain meds. My customers said they could see the differences already and want to see how I am after a couple of weeks. I think some of them will want to do it too!!

So you had the Lifestyle Lift in Dallas? Who was the dr. who did yours? I've backed out twice now, as I've read only about 42% of Lifestyle Lift patients are satisfied....

My doctor was {edited}. He was very friendly and I think did a very good job for me. I still have some swelling but it's only been one week today. I'm 56 . The whole staff was great! Will post more as I get further along.

I could do that. I am doing very well. Thanks

Great! I look forward to reading it. :)

All the best,
Sharon

I, too, am considering having this done in Atlanta. Did you have the procedure, I see that you posted in May. I went in for the consultation, saw the video, met the doctor, but have not scheduled yet. What was your experience?

Anyone else reading this that had an experience at the Atlanta facility?

I have talked to BSPS about this, and he says LSL is not good idea because all it is is quickly lifting the outer layer of skin without concomitantly tightening the underlying muscles, fascia and facial fat pads. Thus the results will NOT be long lasting at all. They also give it a fancy name to lure customers. Your best bet is to just opt for the full lift. Actually I went and got a lower and mid lift under general ansesthesa. It has been 3 years and people think i am 15 years younger than what i am.

Debbie,
When are you having yours done and how much
is the cost? Did you go for your consult yet?
I would really would like to have this done
but is scary for me too. Any information you
could share with me would be appreciated.

I'm thinking of having the LL & under eye procedures done in Troy, MI. Anyone out there have experience with this location? Would appreciate both positive & negative feedback before making a decision.
Thanks!

Four months since my lower face/neck lipo. Went back about 2 mos post op because my muscle in my neck was pulling really tight when I moved my head back and forth or side to side and it was really kind of thick in the middle under my chin. Dr. Franco right away took a syringe and some cortisone and stuck me in the muscle what felt like a hundred times in an effort to relax it. Good thing it was still numb...my husband almost passed out watching it. He thought I was Atilla the queen of pain tolerance and the end of that session. Ha ha right. It was pretty brutal. But I have massaged it a lot and still it's pretty tight but not numb anymore. I haven't been back since (ya think?). Right now what is bothering me is the ITCHING at the incision sights and I've never had surgery before so I don't know if that's common. But yeah itching for sure. Another is my ears are still really sensitive around the outer perimeter, but not always if that makes any sense. Bothersome but not worrisome..yet. I figure give it six months.

I'm still glad I had it done. Bending over and not having my face feel like a bulldogs is worth this discomfort. I don't know how long it will last, but I can't say how long a "real" facelift would last either. I just asked my dh if it still looked good and he said it did, so that's all I need to know. Just do it, mine was 5000 and I took them up on the interest free 12 month financing because I could and that made it even better. Know though if you smoke, sun and lead that rode hard, put up wet kind of life you aren't going to be happy. There were some ladies in the post op waiting room that were unhappy with their results but one look told me and the other why it wasn't for them. Just an FYI. Be back in a few...good luck everyone.

I am scheduled for a LSL and chin lipo in the Beverly Hills office in November. Has anybody had their surgery done there, I haven't seen anything posted. Please let me know your comments.

Hi Michelle,

Have you been over to our Lifestyle Lift forums? A few people have posted about Beverly Hills LSL there.

Hi Erika,
I am having lower face, lipo and eyes done in Houston. I see where you were scheduled in September. Could I ask how it went. I'm originally from New Orleans and know of quite a few from there who came to Houston for the procedure. Could I ask who was your Dr. mine is {edited}. I guess I'm getting nervous after reading all these stories.

Anyone else who has had this procedure in Houston, I would love to hear from you. Thanks.

Hi debra,
good question! Did you get any response? My husband and I are thinking about having our necks done in the Westbury New York area and now after reading all these reviews we aren't sure anymore. Please let me know if you've heard any thing good or bad. We need to know real soon, our appts. are just over two weeks from now. We might have to cancel for now till we know more. Thank you for helping us.

Hi Helen,

I did have my procedure in Sept., my dr was the more easy going of the two. I'm very pleased with the results. The injections were absolutely horrible ,but after that I felt nothing. I had very little bruising but I am still slightly swollen. I am a diabetic so they could not give me the steroids like they normally do to help with the swelling. I say go for it.

am having it done fri., 10/24 at 9:00 am. scared and anxious - anybody have anything good to say about the doctors at the galleria?

My procedure was done in Chicago W surb 2005. I look back on what I had to go thru and I don't believe I would do it again with Lifestyle. The healing period was very long, to this day I still have numbness on the right side next to the ear. Behind the ears there is a small lump. My jaws and the neck aren't as tight anymore. I can see in another year or before I will definitely need work done. The doctor put me totally under. There was another person helping the doctor and when I awoke he was doing the side where the numbness is to this day. I don't know what he was doing but he was definitely working on that side of my face. On the floor the used bloody materials were just thrown on the floor not covered or in a container. It was enough to make my husband sick. My face was not wrapped nicely. I went out looking like a monster. I was told what to do and did it in order to prevent swelling but I swolled so badly I just wanted to cry. I didn't look like myself at all. There was blood for two days before it finally stopped. Most of the swelling went away in about five days. On both sides of the face and the ears were numbed for at least a year. As I said before, the right side next to the ear still has numbness. I would not recommend you to do this with Lifestyle but we all have to do what we think is right for ones self. Good luck everyone...

depends on your pain tolerance. I was given valium and that anti nausea drug that makes you sleepy, cant remember the name right now. The local was more aggravating than anything for me. It was like a long root canal.

Dr. {edited} was mine. Just know you will be more swollen than they said you would and that it will be a longer recovery than they said. Stock up of soup as you won't be able to open your mouth very far for a couple of days. I did eat pbj tearing off small bites and shoving them in. I didn't mind that it would just be nice to know ahead of time. Common sense says you can't do this and walk away to go play. Go get some extra bandaging as you will want to change it out often. Just do as he says and you'll be fine. Oh yeah Ice too. We left and went to the varsity for a frosted orange, it lasted me the rest of the day. Good luck...it's worth it

Hi Susan,
Thank you great advise. What kind of bandages? How is your face feeling now?

Sorry for the lateness. The stretch sticky atheletic wrap (not ace bandage) and extra gauze. Dr. F suggested kotex pads (get extra thin kind) put on both sides of the face, under chin then wrap with the sticky stretch tape (wide).

My face feels different everyday. Early in the a.m. it feels tight under the chin, but loosens as the day goes on. Still itchy at incision sites.

Thank you Susan, I still have two weeks. Any other advise would be appreciated.

I'm thinking of having the LSL done in the Reston (DC) area. I'm looking for a good Doctor to do the procedure. If anyone knows of one please write me. Thank you
