I had my first treatment 5 days ago and it was not that painful. They covered my face with a numbing cream and after an hour it was time to begin. The laser was on a low setting since I'm am only being treated for melasma & sun damage. I have a large areas on my forehead and under my eyes which seem to be slightly lighter already. I did experience a few sensitive areas but overall it wasn't too bad. After the cream wore off it felt as though I had a sunburn.

My face was a little red but I didn't swell much at all. The next day the redness cleared up but the melasma had not improved.

Now on day 5 - the texture of my skin seems to have improved and the melasma is a bit lighter although it is still there. I never experenced any peeling and was wondering if that was normal since most folks seem to peel. I was told that I would have great results by the 3rd treatment and that my skin would continue to improve over time (4 weeks until the next session).

I'll keep you posted.
