How does Fraxel laser treatment work?
Can you tell me why Fraxel goes deeper in your skin? How does it work?

Fraxel Treatment
The effective treatment regime for Fraxel is usually five to six sessions, spaced in an interval usually a couple of weeks to a month apart depending on what best meets your needs. By design, each treatment session targets between 15% to 20% of the skin's surface, depending on the clinical parameters selected. The depth and intensity is about 80% that of full laser resurfacing.
Results are immediate and progressive. Optimal improvement is usually visible in six months. Collagen buildup continues after the the treatments are completed.
Fraxel laser works by creating tiny areas of damaged skin
The Fraxel is one of several different lasers that we call non ablative fractional lasers. Although there are differences in the way the lasers are operated, they all work by creating "micro thermal zones" (MTZ) in the skin.
Each MTZ is shaped like a long skinny pole. The MTZ is an area of skin where the heat from the laser has "cooked" (denatured) the proteins in the skin. These denatured areas cause the rest of the skin around the MTZ to release enzymes to try to repair the MTZ. This repair process causes you to grow new collagen, which gives your skin an improved appearance.
