SmartLipo may improve Cellulite

Even though SmartLipo is not indicated for cellulite, I have had several patients that have had visible improvement in their cellulite after SmartLipo.

One theory on the cause of cellulite is that small superficial fibers form, attaching fat globules to the skin and causing the dimpling. Since the SmartLipo laser is penetrating the superficial fat, I feel it could be disrupting these fibrous connections.

SmartLipo CAN help cellulite in experienced hands!

Everyone knows that there is no magic cure for cellulite. 80-90% of women have it regardless of their size.

However, in my experience performing over 300 SmartLipo procedures, the appearance of cellulite is improved following SmartLipo. When laser energy is directed at disrupting cell membranes and the skin is heated to approximately 42 degrees C, the fat cells rupture and the skin is tightened.

While we don't know exactly what is done to "cellulite" we do know that it looks better afterwards. This is in contrast to traditional liposuction where cellulite often looks worse.

SmartLipo is not for cellulite

Smart Lipo is not a technology intended to target cellulite. It is a fat reduction method that uses liposuction with laser for skin tightening. But if your thighs look thinner and better, your dimples may be less of a focus for you.

Cellulite is tough condition to get rid of entirely - the best most of us can hope for is getting it under control so it doesn't bug us every single day.
