What does Restylane look like?

Assuming you are getting Restylane from a doctor that bought the Restylane from Medicis Aesthetics, the only licensed vendor in the USA, then the box would be white and blue. The syringe would contain 1.0 cc of a clear gelatinous fluid. There should be a label wrapped around the syringe that has information about your syringe that is made to be attached to your medical records.

One trick that you can do to make sure you are getting Restylane that was obtained from Medicis Aesthetics is to ask for the empty box. Medicis may offer some rebates through their Rewards Program for patients that get Restylane injected frequently and they typically want some sort of proof that you received their product. You can even send the box to Medicis Aesthetics and ask them to verify that you got Restylane that came from them.

For more information about the Restylane "Rewards" program, go to the Restylane USA website (not the Restylane website which is the parent company in Sweden) and after the introduction plays, click on the Rewards tab on the right side. I have added the link below.
