I am planning to do sculptra (for some fine lines in my lower cheek area) and just read some of the reviews from patients who regretted doing it and sounds like I may me taking too much of a risk here.

Any comments would be appreciated. I have complete trust in my Dr. who I have been going to for several years.

I am considering Sculptra for slightly hollowing cheeks.I have thick, oilier skin that has tolerated and 2 Thermage treatments and 2 IPLs,also 1 nasolabial fat graft within the last 7 years. I am 45. These things have gone a long way toeards keeping me looking young, but I'm ready for a lift. Is Sculptra worth it?

Sculptra will not replace a lift. However, it can appear to have "lifted" as volume is replaced.

Depending on the degree of tightening you are looking for, you may want to consider a more aggressive treatment such as TotalFX (combination of ActiveFX and DeepFX).

You may also consider a complete fat transfer (volumalift) to all of the areas of the face needed the volume. It is probably needed in more places than just your nasolabial folds (cheeks, chin, marionette lines, lips, below eyes, temples, et cetera).

Sculptra has significant reported adverse effects. I have not experienced any of these. . .but it is well worth noting. I would stay away from it until this is completely worked out.
