i had fat transfer in my hands last september,although it does work ,it does,nt last long. i had it twice in my hands and within 3 months it was completely gone. i should also add that the pain when it was administered was the worst i,ve ever known.

FAt transfers are done with several different techniques.
The harvesting of the fat, handling, transfer and injection can all lead to destruction of the fat cells.
The more trauma the fat cells endure, the worse they will fare and sooner it will be gone!
I have found that fat from the outside of the hips seems to work the best. I enjoy using filter systems by Shippert and can reinject without significant trauma to the fat.
Nevertheless, a significant portion of grafted fat will disappear within a couple of months. However, I usually find a fair amount that remains.
Of course, it is critical that you don't try to lose weight after a fat transfer. . .unfortunately, this fat can be the first to go! I have seen this as a major problem since the one's that exercise the most seem to always be the one's wanting fat transfers. . .go figure.
