What is Active FX?

California doctors offer the ActiveFX laser as an anti-aging skin laser treatment for facial lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and loose skin. Made by Lumenis, the ActiveFX laser uses fractional laser technology to target only a fraction of the skin during treatment.

ActiveFX is a single treatment procedure with some moderate patient downtime. A high-energy laser beam is used to stimulate formation of new underlying collagen, smooth out fine lines, wrinkles and scars, remove brown spots and other irregularities, and tighten the skin.

Fractional laser treatment treats only a fraction of the skin's surface, leaving small "bridges" of untouched skin. This fractional technique speeds the healing process and enables a quicker return to normal activities.
